The Falls Church boys Varsity Lacrosse team displayed great teamwork and execution as they handed Mount Vernon its first district loss in nearly six years. The scoring was led by seniors Eric Huggins (5 goals, 1 assist), Eric Bruyette (2 goals, 2 assists), Buddy Powers (2 goals, 1 assist) and Jonathan Shallant (2 goals, 1 assist). A stingy defense led by seniors Lehi Ruiz and Mark Peterson held the 5 time National District champions to only 2 goals. With a final score of 14-2, the Jaguars accomplished something no other National District team has accomplished in more than half a decade. Congratulations to the team on their historic win, and the commanding way that they earned it!
