The crowd was pretty electric at the new South County Stallion stadium in Lorton, VA. A game that was the "game of the week" for the Fairfax Sports Network (Cox 35). The fans of the Stallions were hoping for their first win, but the Jaguars decided not to be a part of the equation.
Early in the game Tony Collins, by blocking the 1st of 2 punts for the game, led to a short touchdown by Rashad Meadows.
The defense made stop after stop in the 1st half with South County never really threatening to score. In the second Max Hurkamp scored one of his two touchdown, however the big play of the half was when RJ Davis caught a short hitch and broke a few tackles and raced 92 yards for a TD. Welcome back Mr. Davis. The Jaguars had two more chances to get on the scoreboard before halftime one on a double pass and then on a "hitch and pitch" play, but both were unsuccessful.
In the second half there were some Jaguars that didn't allow for the same type of scoring. Max Hurkamp did catch another TD pass. Joey Collins had over 300 yards passing only the 2nd time its happened in the last 4 years. Some other bright spots were the running of Gabriel Eusebio and Wesley Davis. Darnell Pendleton lead the team with 20 tackles and several crushing hits. Eric Bruyette also had 10 tackles. South County did get on the board with a field goal with final score being FC 27 - SC 3
