Ishmael Jabbie is a two-year starter for the Jaguars. As a junior,
Ishmael was selected as a 1st team all-district and 2nd team all-region
guard. Ishmael is an intense competitor who gets to most out of his
athletic ability. He provides senior leadership to the offensive line
and is always striving to do better. The coaching staff believes that
Ishmael can improve upon his junior year and become a 1st team
all-region selection.

Ish is another great example of what hard work can do for you. He has truly come a long way since his freshman and sophomore years. He has listened to the instruction that the coaches have given him, which has led to him being a better football player. He will have a “blow up” from time to time in practice but he always refocuses on the job at hand. He has earned the respect of his teammates and coaches

What does Ish have to say?

Q. What have you learned from 4 years in the FCHS Football Program??

A. I’ve learned how to stick together with my teammates. I’m learning how to use what the coaches have taught me in other areas of my life. Basically how to be a man.

Q. How did it feel to make all-district last year?

A. It felt great because it was totally unexpected. I’m looking forward to improving on that this year by making the all-region team.

Q. What are some of your interests outside of football?

A. I enjoy playing video games… Madden& NBA Live. I also like to just hang out with friends and just chill.

Q. What are your plans after High School?

A. I would really like the opportunity to play college football. Other than that just live life to fullest

Q. Who is your favorite player?

A. I like Elton Brown, who last year played for UVA and was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals this year. I like him because we play the same position and he’s a leader on the offensive line.

Q. What do you think bout Hurricane Katrina?

A. I have a lot of sympathy for all the people who were affected. I wish that I was financially able to help.
