GIRLS SWIM & DIVE VS. HAYFIELD SECONDARY

After a tough loss the night before, the girls Swim & Dive team traveled across the icy roads to meet district newcomers Hayfield Secondary. This time, the girls prevailed in convincing fashion.  In addition to the win, Laura Schwartz set two more school records. In the 200 IM, Laura took down the oldest record in the swim & dive books. She also set a new 500 FR record. Both records pre-date the entire coaching staff!

First place winners were Maggie Cullather (dive and 100 BR), Clara Dombroski (200 FR and 100 BK), Sydney Langer (50 FR and 100 FR), Laura Schwartz (200 IM and 500 FR), the 200 Medley A Relay (Clara Dombroski, Laura Schwartz, Maggie Cullather, Marisa Sims), the 200 FR A Relay (Kristina Clingaman, Shelley Kendall, Marisa Sims, Sydney Langer), and the 400 FR A Relay (Sydney Langer, Maggie Cullather, Clara Dombroski, Laura Schwartz).

Second place finishers were Emily Sturges (100 FL), the 200 FR B Relay (Chelsea Kaye, Francesca Dombroski, Caroline Gutermuth, Emily Sturges) and the 400 FR B Relay (Kristina Clingaman, Francesca Dombroski, Kara Sims, Alana Harris). Third place finishers were Kristina Clingaman (200 FR and 100 FR), Francesca Dombroski (50 FR and 100 BR), Chelsea Kaye (100 FL and 100 BK), Kara Sims (500 FR), Marisa Sims (200 IM), the 200 Medley B Relay (Chelsea Kaye, Shelley Kendall, Emily Sturges, caroline Gutermuth), and the 400 FR B Relay (Kristina Clingaman, Francesca Dombroski, Kara Sims, Alana Harris).

Other point scorers were Carol Gomez, Allison Parker, Chnar Sindi, Madeline Sonnen, Hannah Wilkerson, and Penny Williams.

The girls face Edison at Lee District Rec Center on Friday, December 11.
