BOYS SWIM @ KECOUGHTAN INVITATIONAL

After a long meet on Friday night, driving to Newport News and very little sleep, the boy's swim team competed in the Kecoughtan Invitational. The team finished 14th overall and had many fantastic swims.

Senior David Blincoe qualified for the consolation finals in the 50 free and 100 free. He finished in 12th and 11th places. Senior Alex Howe also qualified for the consolation finals in two events, 200 free and 500 free. In his 11th place finish in the 200 free, Alex remains a scant 2 seconds off of the school record! He also finished 15th in the 500 free. Freshman Jesse Kane qualified for the consolation finals in both the 200 IM and the 100 fly. He finished 10th and 9th respectively.

Two of the boys relays qualified for the finals. The 200 Free relay (Michael Clingaman, Jesse Kane, Alex Howe, David Blincoe) finished in 8th place, just 1 second off of the school record. The 400 Free relay (Ryan Davenport, Jesse Kane, Alex Howe, David Blincoe) also finished in 8th place.

The team also have a stellar performance in the consolation finals by the 400 Free B relay (Roberth Fajardo, Mike Fernandez, Erik Vasquez, Will Rogers). They dropped 13 seconds from the previous night!

Also participating in the Kecoughtan Invitational were Cristian Garcia, Eric Kuldell and Hayden Workman.
